INITIAL CONTACT:
Whether you have called our offices or stopped by the Valenchi showroom, this is where the process begins. A request sheet is created, and a job number assigned to your specific project, so a design consultant can contact you.
INITIAL CONSULTATION & COMPLIMENTARY ESTIMATE:
Your design consultant will contact you within 24-48 hours to schedule an appointment for a site visit at the location where the work is to be performed. At this visit, your design consultant will take notes, photographs, and preliminary measurements. They will go over, in detail, the design concept and style you wish to achieve.
If you are unsure of the exact materials you want to use for your project, an estimate will be provided to you that sets an allowance which will be in close proximity to the actual costs of your renovation. You will be asked to set up another appointment to meet with your design consultant or project manager to make your final selections of materials.
INVOICE & CONTRACT PRESENTATION:
After your final selections have been made or the allowances have been established, you will be presented a preliminary contract. This will detail the entire scope of the project with your exact materials. If your exact material selection has not been finalized an allowance will be stipulated. If our contract meets with your approval, your signature will be required signifying your acceptance. An invoice will be provided outlining the initial deposit, draw schedule and the final payment amount. You will then be asked to make a deposit (check or credit card), in an amount that is determined based on the cost, size and scope of your project. Once your exact materials have been selected you will be asked to sign an addendum or new contract that includes those selected materials.
MATERIAL SELECTION AND/OR DESIGN CENTER VISIT:
Your consultant will schedule an appointment to meet you or for you to come into the Design Center. This time will be devoted to helping you select your material choices, free from interruptions, completely focusing on your project at hand.
PRECONSTRUCTION SITE VISIT:
At this point, depending on the scope of work required, your project will be assigned 1-2 project manager(s) and you will be contacted to schedule a preconstruction site visit. A preconstruction site visit is a step that Valenchi takes to ensure quality control on all our construction projects. This brings your Project Manager(s), Design consultants, Plumbers, Electricians, or any other professionals, directly to you, on location, in an effort to minimize delays, challenges, questions or concerns.
At this meeting, every aspect of the construction phase will be addressed. All measurements will be verified ensuring they are in line in with the scope of work and materials you have selected. You will be asked a series of questions about the work to be performed. Your project manager(s) will go over your selections and ask that you confirm your materials and color choices.
This is the time for you to ask any questions or raise any concerns you may have about the project. In addition, if you are going to be out of town for any period of time, please indicate that to us at this time so we can coordinate our scheduling around your plans. Your project manager(s) will look for any unforeseen challenges that might arise. Anything found will be addressed to ensure your project is performed as efficiently and effectively as possible.
The main objective of this meeting is to make sure that all parties involved are on the same page and to address anything that might present itself as a potential problem or cause a delay to the project. Our goal is to ensure that we cause as little interruption into your daily life as possible.
Please understand that despite this precautionary step, there are of course no guarantees that an unforeseen problem may occur. If that happens, rest assured, we will do our best to resolve the issues with the least amount of inconvenience to you as possible.
PROJECT MATERIALS ORDERED:
Please note that time sensitive materials will be ordered to ensure they arrive in time for the start of your project. Remaining materials will not be ordered until after your preconstruction site visit. The reason for this is to ensure we have covered all bases, confirmed all measurements, and approved all quantities of every piece of material prior to the start of your project. By utilizing this practice, we can ensure a smoother process from beginning to end while avoiding potential delays during the middle of the project timeline. Unavailable materials and backorders do present themselves from time to time. We work very closely with our suppliers to prevent delays, but despite our efforts, this does happen and is out of our control.
PROJECT SCHEDULE:
Once we have confirmation that all materials have been shipped, received and are physically in our warehouse, your project will be scheduled and assigned to a team of professional technicians. Typically, this is 4-8 weeks out before your project will begin. This team is put into place to ensure the desired goal is obtained in the most efficient and effective manner possible. In certain instances, portions of the project may start sooner than others based on urgency and necessity such as water/fire damage, etc. This may cause your project to be broken into two sections. A lead technician will oversee the scope of work and instruct the technicians assigned to your project. You will be advised of your lead technician and how many technicians will be reporting to your project on a daily basis. All changes or modifications are only to be discussed with your project manager to ensure instructions are delivered correctly to the appropriate technician. If you are unable to reach your project manager take your questions or concerns to your lead technician who will then contact your project manager or a field supervisor who can address the issue appropriately. A timeline of events will be provided to you with approximate dates and times throughout your project. Schedules are fluid and may be updated as needed. These changes will be communicated to you directly by phone, text or email correspondence.
AVERAGE TIMELINE FOR RENOVATIONS BASED ON IDEAL CIRCUMSTANCES:
Once the materials for your project have arrived to our facility your project will then be scheduled. Under normal circumstances you are looking at an average of two to eight weeks for product delivery. From the time the materials arrive you are looking at an additional two to four weeks for the project to begin. Scheduling depends on material delivery and technician schedules. Many times projects get started sooner due to the size of the job, the technicians available, cancellations and homeowner schedule conflicts. Your project manager will keep you posted on your materials estimated time of arrival, scheduling and regular updates.
Below is an average time for project durations based on size and type of project. This timeline is based on when your project actually starts and not when your materials are ordered.
Average Kitchens – 4-8 Week Process if this includes remodeling. If it is simply cabinets and countertops only then 2-4 weeks.
Granite or Quartz – 2 Weeks after cabinetry is installed due to templating.
Average Tile Backsplash – 2-3 Day Process after countertops have gone in
3000 square foot or less on Flooring – 1-2 Week Process then the base installation
Shoe mould, ¼ Round or Base – 2-3 Day Process after flooring goes in
Painting of Base or Shoe mould – 2-3 Day Process after trim installation
Average Bathrooms - 8-12 Week Process
Large Master Bathroom – 12-20 weeks
Average Room Remodels – 6-12 Week Process (Depending on Scope)
Average Complete Home Remodels – 12-52 Week Process
PAYMENTS:
If you have a job over $10,000 you will have a draw schedule. You will be notified when a draw is required, as outlined in your contract. You will have 48 hours after draw request to submit payment. If payment is not made within the 48 hours your project may be delayed until payment has been received. If your project is under $10,000, you generally will have only an initial deposit and a final payment, unless your contract specifies otherwise.
FIELD SUPERVISORS:
Throughout the project and at unannounced times one of our field supervisors will show up on the jobsite to check on the technician’s progress. At any time and for any reason, feel free to contact your project for assistance.
FINAL WALK-THROUGH:
After your project has been completed, you will be contacted by a representative of Valenchi Construction to schedule a final walk through. This walk-through is to inspect the craftsmanship of the work performed, check the scope of work, and address any questions or concerns you might have.
FINAL PAYMENT:
After your final walk-through has passed our inspection and you are happy with the outcome of your project, we will ask you to make your final payment (check or credit card).
CLOSEOUT OF PROJECT:
Once your final payment has been collected and processed, you will receive paid copies of the invoices by mail. Your work comes with a three-year warranty on craftsmanship and manufacturer’s warranties on parts and fixtures purchased through us. We look forward to assisting you with all your future projects.
Estimated Time:
At your consultation your project manager may have given you an estimated start time and an estimate as to how long the projected project will take. Please understand this is only an estimate. While the average bathroom may take 8-12 weeks, yours may take 20 weeks. It is impossible for us to give you a calculated time until after the job starts and the demo has exposed any unforeseen issues. Once demo is complete, your lead will be able to give you a better gage as to the length of time they anticipate being there. Please keep in mind, remodeling is more difficult than new construction and with everything that is taken apart, unforeseen issues may be found and that means each stage of the project could add days to the job. Once we start your job we will not leave your job unless there is a material issue or your have requested a delay.
Scheduling:
Once you decide to go with our company and have submitted your deposit, this is when you project officially begins. Please realize that paying your deposit does not mean that technicians will show up at your house to begin the project the following day. There is a lot of planning that goes into your project. In addition to design and material selection technicians, subcontractors and designers have to be scheduled. You will be asked to sign off on each material selection to assure we are all on the same page. Once everything is accounted for and the schedule has been confirmed with technicians and subcontractors you will receive your schedule. Of course our schedule will coincide with your schedule to assure all parties are in sync.
The stats show that regardless of what business you own, it’s likely that nearly half of your customers are pet owners. However, it’s not that easy for pet owners to find businesses where their pet is as welcome as they are.
That's why we offer a Puppy Park. — water bowls, treats, toys and shaded areas, it's all here for your enjoyment. It's not fenced so bring a leash, but it's a place to hang out with your dog and enjoy the weather of sunny Florida.
We also have Doggy Waiting Areas - The lobby is a dog-friendly waiting area. Again, water bowls, treats and toys are here to keep man’s best friend entertained.
